Laura Virgina Bips

Virginia A. Bips, attorney at law, age 90, of Newnan died March 2, 2011. Mrs. Bips was born in Rome, GA to Charles J. Alford and Nell Murphey. She grew up in Fort Valley, GA. She's been a member of the State Bar of Georgia for 65 years. She began private practice in 1968 and founded the law firm of Bips and Bips, P.C. She was an avid reader and gardener. Mrs. Bips was predeceased by her husband Dr. John A. Bips of Atlanta. Survived by her three sons: John A. Bips, R. Andrew Bips and Mark C. Bips; daughter, Maria Bips Yount; six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her dog Kim-woo .Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons on Sunday March 6, 2011 at 1:00PM with Deacon Bob Hauert officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30PM at Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday March 5, 2011 from 2:00PM-5:00PM and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. A.S. Turner and Sons is in charge of the arrangements.
