Lawrence D. Phillips

October 18, 1917 — June 1, 2009

Mr. Lawrence D. Phillips, 91, of Stone Mountain died Monday, June 1, 2009.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a Mason. Mr. Phillips

graduate of Young Harris College. He and his wife operated the Lawrence

and Reba Café at Young Harris for more than 20 years and retired from the U.

S. Postal Service after 18 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Reba

Adams Phillips. He is survived by his sons, Robert Phillips of Stone

Mountain and William L. Phillips of Atlanta; and nieces and nephews. A

graveside service will be held at the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery in

Young Harris, GA on Sunday, June 14th at 1 P.M., Rev. John Kaye officiating.
