Lawrence James "Larry" Addison

Lawrence James (Larry) Addison, age 84, of Tucker passed away Friday, November 7, 2008. He served in the U. S. Army for 3 ½ years during World War II.  After his service, he worked for the A & P Tea Company for 30 years and Mashburn Electric Company for 10 years.

Larry was a member of The Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church for 40 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, devoted husband, and generous friend who enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Dillard Addison; brother, Leon Addison and his wife Idabell of Moorefield, WV; son, Jim Addison and his wife, Marilyn of Snellville, GA; daughter, Betsy Steinbaum and her husband Gerald of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Michael Lance Addison and his wife Ashley, Desirae Lynn Addison, Carrie Leslie Addison, Jason Addison Steinbaum; great grandchildren, Schyler, Asa, and Aspen Addison; step-daughters, Melinda Rue and her husband Jon of Atlanta, GA, Monica Thomas and her husband Tommy of Fayetteville, GA, Marie Bowles of Smyrna, GA, Michelle Cates and her husband Stewart of  Kingwood, Texas; step-son Roger Manis, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; step-grandchildren, Julianna Rue, Elizabeth Rue, Jonathan Rue, Daniel Rue, Marianna Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Spencer Bowles, Caroline Cates, Allison Cates, and Stewart Cates, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10th at 10:00 A.M. at Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church with Rev. Ferris Hardin and Rev. Gail Thompson officiating. Interment, Edgemont Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. (CST) in Anniston, AL.  Donations may be given to Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church, Music Fund, 3412 Lawrenceville Hwy., Tucker, and GA 30084.
