Lee Fuson Howard, Sr., P.E. of Atlanta passed away January 11, 2011. Mr. Howard was a 1945 graduate of Georgia Tech, where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering. Immediately after graduation, he attended U.S.N. Midshipman School in New York City. He served as lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the war, Mr. Howard enjoyed a career as an Electrical Engineer in the commercial construction industry in Atlanta, working on major commercial office projects. He retired from Allison Smith Electrical Contractors in 1990. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Strickland Howard, his son, Lee F. "Chip" Howard, Jr., son Patrick S. Howard, three granddaughters, and two grandsons. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday January 16 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to the Salvation Army. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at A.S. Turner & Sons.
