Lena Mcnelley

Mrs. Lena McNelley, of Atlanta, died Saturday, July 7, 2007.  She was born August 13, 1906 in Paulding County.  A homemaker, wife and mother, Lena lived in Grant Park for 70 years.  She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church.  Lena loved life and loved the people who were a part of her life. Mrs. McNelley was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. McNelley; sons, Henry W. McNelley, Jr., Kenneth McNelley and granddaughter, Barbara Senterfit. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Peeler of Atlanta; grandchildren, Michael Peeler of Carmichael, CA, Sharon Tipshus and husband Pete of Pilot Hill, CA, Linda Sims and husband Phil of Canon, GA, and Donald McNelley of Ocala, FL; and seven great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 11th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Rev. Tony Lankford will officiate.  Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Avenue Baptist Church, 486 Park Ave., S.E. Atlanta, GA  30312. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
