Mrs. Leslie June McAbee, 92, of Tucker died Wednesday, November 18, 2009. An educator and librarian, she was a life long member of the Episcopal faith. She enjoyed arts, ceramics and mineralogy. Mrs. McAbee was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Ret. Lt. Col. William Howard McAbee. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, William Michael and Laura McAbee, Howard and Mary McAbee; brother, Richard Peck; grandchildren, Samuel, Michael, Patrick; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2 PM in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Interment Westview Cemetery. Those that wish may make contributions in Mrs. McAbee’s memory to St. Bede’s Episcopal Church, 2601 Henderson Mill Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA 30345. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
