Lila Canglin, of Stone Mountain, Ga passed on March 11, 2009. Lila was born on July 27, 1912 in Alabama. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Ray Canglin; sister, Annie Maude; brothers, Dowdy Daniel, Woodson Daniel, Russell Daniel, J. D. Daniel; sons-in-law, Ray Landress and Cliff Young; grandson Terry Landress, and granddaughter, Penny Young. She is survived by brothers, Jack Daniel and Jerry Daniel; daughters, Jeanette Young of Atlanta and Kay Landress Hartman of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Yvonne Young of Norcross, Gary Landress and wife Bonnie of Suwanee, Don Landress and wife Cindy of Snellville, Jackie Ray of Clearwater, FL, Cecelia Landress of Lawrenceville, and Gayla Davis and husband Pat of Loganville; great grandchildren, Cheri and Paul ,Jason and Nicolle, Adam and Diana, Katie, Nicole, Tiffany and Ricky, Brian, Christie, Derek, and Christana; great- great grandchildren, Breann, Chase, Alli Grace, Walker, Hailey, and Jake, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lila Canglin was a great, loving woman, wife, mother and grandmother who had a passion for quality in the lives of her family. She worked side by side with her husband for 66 years. Most of those 66 years were spent in their formal wear and clothing stores. Her spare time was devoted to her family. To relax, she spent many hours working in her beautiful gardens and reading. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, Georgia with Dr. Truett Gannon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Following the service, interment will be at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, Ga.
