Lila Nell Heath, aged 93, passed away on Friday, June 11th at Benton House Assisted Living. Nell grew up in Talking Rock, Georgia and Ellijay, Georgia. She had many fond memories of life “in the country.” She left school at age fifteen to financially help her family. She worked at “Bell Bomber” during WWII as a riveter. (Rosie the Riveter)
Nell met Douglas Heath at a bus stop and they married three months later on October 18, 1946. She lived a full life of travel, work, and family. There was always room for one more at Nell Heath’s table. Her generosity was felt by all.
She is survived by her three children, Roland, Linda (John) Peacock, and Debbie (Bob) Carter; seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
