Lillian Kirk

Lillian Anita Kirk (nee Kenemer) of Avondale Estates, GA passed away on Monday February 17, 2025 at the age of 92. Mrs. Kirk was born and raised in Dalton, GA.

She was a graduate of Dalton High School. She was happily married to Bob Kirk for 60 years. They raised a family in Avondale Estates where she was a homemaker. Mrs. Kirk was also employed at the Atlanta office of General Services Administration and was a talented and artistic woman. She practiced her artistic nature through sewing, home decorating, flower arranging, and the baking and decorating of exquisite wedding cakes for family and close friends. A stranger was never met as she always welcomed and cared for others.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Kirk (Bob) and sister Joan Kenemer Rankin.

Surving her is her sister; Norma Kenemer Rainieri, Greensboro, NC,daughter; Kari Kirk Rheney, Avondale Estates, GA, son; Robert K. Kirk (Ken)(Becky), and her grandchildren; Kelsey Rheney, Kason Rheney, Sarah Kirk, and Hannah Kirk, and many loved cousins and friends.

A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday March 15, at 2:00 pm at Decatur Presbyterian Church,205 Sycamore St, Decatur, GA 30030.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Humane Society or Decatur Presbyterian Church.
