Linda Ann Nardone

Linda Ann Manthe Nardone, 75, of Avondale Estates, Georgia passed away and was called home on October 17, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. She was born November 23, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Genevieve & Steven Manthe. She graduated from West Georgia College with a degree in education. She began her teaching career as a teacher in Atlanta City Schools and later taught adult education for those completing their GEDs. When her boys were born, she managed her husband’s law firm and household and was a favorite mom in the neighborhood.

Linda met the love of her life, Robert G. Nardone, Sr. at East Lake Country Club. Their love affair spanned over 50 years, including bring two incredible sons into the world. They loved to travel, and enjoyed watching their grandchildren grow and play volleyball, softball, lacrosse and soccer. On weekends they were often found in front of a fire entertaining neighbors and friends in their community of Avondale Estates. Linda will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, Grammy, Gigi, aunt and friend. She enjoyed gardening, and daily could be found planting something in her yard or decorating her house for every season, especially Christmas.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Nardone, Sr.; son Robert Nardone, Jr. & his wife Lisa; son David Nardone & his wife Natalie; grandchildren Danielle, Joshua, David & Lindsay; sister Mary & her husband Joe; sister Kathy & her husband Terry. She is predeceased by her brother Steven Albert Manthe Jr. in 2001. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was a treasured friend to so many.

Linda had a green thumb, vibrant personality, beautiful smile, fantastic sense of humor, a romantic view of life and was called an old soul by many that were blessed to know her. Her zest for life made her a favorite in her community.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, November 19, 2021 1:00pm – 3:00pm at The Lake House at Avondale (59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates, GA 30002). A brief service and reflection on Linda will be held at 1:30pm.
