Linda D. Barbee

Linda McCann Barbee, 65, of Alpharetta, Georgia, died January 27, 2012 following a long fight with breast cancer. She was born December 28, 1946 in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Floyd and Lois McCann. Linda was a loving mother and wife who inspired us all with her tenacious spirit. She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald McCann. She is survived by her husband, Wyatt Barbee; her daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Chris Leonti of Cardwell, Montana, Dolores and Greg Brown of Cherrylog, Georgia, Alisha and Brent Meek of Buford, Georgia, Jeanne Barbee of Alpharetta, Georgia; granddaughter Alannah Leonti of Cardwell, Montana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Ann McCann of Shalimar, Florida and Floyd and Carol McCann, Jr. of Johns Island, South Carolina; sister-in-law Sybil McCann of Houma, Louisiana (wife of late brother Gerald McCann). A memorial mass will be held Saturday February 4, 2012, 11:00 am at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church located at 13560 Cogburn Road, Alpharetta, GA 30004 with a reception immediately following at the church. The Rev. Robert B. Wood will officiate. In accordance with her wishes, her remains were cremated and will be buried in the St. Aidan's Memorial Garden.
