Linda Faye Payne

Linda Faye "Charlie" Payne died Wednesday, August 25, 2004.  She was a career State employee who retired in 2001 from the Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Odie Neil and Gwendolyn Pike Payne and sisters, Jean Pruett and Mildred Wallace.  She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Inez Payne of Hendersonville, TN; nieces and nephews; and friends too numerous to list.  Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, August 28, 2004 at the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with The Rev. Glenn Nichols officiating.  Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN at 3 PM CST Sunday, August 29, 2004. Rev. Courtney Wilson will officiate.  Those desiring may send contributions to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Pkwy SE # 1, Marietta, GA 30067-6421   or the National Stroke Association, 96 Inverness Drive East, Suite 1, Englewood, CO 80112.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Saturday at A. S. Turner and Sons.
