Linda Rutland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Marie Rutland, who departed this life on her 85th birthday, February 22, 2025. Born on February 22, 1940, in Florence, South Carolina, Linda spent her later years in Decatur, Georgia, where she embraced the role of a devoted homemaker and family cornerstone.

Linda led a life rich in love and devotion. Known for her unyielding spirit and nurturing nature, she touched the lives of those around her with warmth and kindness. As a self-employed homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a welcoming and loving home for her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Guy Rutland III; her daughter, Linda Barry; and her two sons, Guy Rutland IV and David Rutland.

Linda's legacy is one of compassion and resilience. She cherished her family above all else, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Cremation will take place following her passing, and a memorial service will be held to honor Linda's life and the impact she made on so many. Family and friends are invited to gather at Decatur First Baptist Church on April 18, 2025 at 11:00am.
