Lisa Marlene Timpson Fair, 46, of Atlanta, GA, died on Monday, March 12, 2007 after a short illness. She was born February 21, 1961 in Murphy, NC. Lisa graduated from Murphy High School in 1979. Lisa was married to Terry Fair on August 11, 1979. She attended Mars Hill College, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1983 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. She also obtained a Masters Degree in Taxation with highest honors from Clemson University in 1989. She was a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner. Lisa and her family have lived in Atlanta, GA for the past 18 years where most recently she was a partner in the global accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Lisa was an extremely talented individual but her heart was totally devoted to her family, friends and her faith. She was a devoted daughter and a doting mother who had endless love for her three beautiful daughters. She was a loving wife and best friend to her husband and a friend to all in need. She had an incredible energy and enthusiasm for all that she did. Lisa was a member of the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement and was the Chair of the Board for the Atlanta Ballet. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, and the Christian Families Sunday School class. Lisa was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Lynn Timpson, who died in 1949 and by her father, Cecil James Timpson, who died on June 8, 1987. Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Terry Fair, three daughters, Kristin Elizabeth Fair, Rachel Amanda Fair, and Ashley Nicole Fair, her mother, Mary Jo Timpson of Murphy, NC; two brothers, James Timpson and wife Lavonne of McDonough, GA, Daniel Timpson and wife Sharon of Jonesboro, GA; a sister, Patricia Kephart and husband Jerry of Murphy, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews; all of whom she treasured. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 17th at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Rev. Louis Miller and Dr. Eddis Dockery will officiate. Interment Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lisa Fair endowment fund at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1722 Oak Grove Rd., Decatur, GA 30033. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral home in Decatur, Georgia.
