Loik Senga Tyler

July 17, 1983 — August 31, 2020

Loik Senga Tyler, 37 years old, left us on August 30th, 2020 in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Loik, better known as Lo by his friends, was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on July 17th, 1983 to Regine and Randy Tyler. His mother is a Nutritionist, and his father is a retired English Teacher. His older sister is Sonia Tyler and his baby brother is Jason Tyler.

Loik spent his childhood laughing and running around in the Saudi Arabia sun. He travelled the world with his parents and visited many countries in Africa, Asia, The Middle East, and Europe. For this, Lo never met a stranger, only friends, acquaintances, and people to tease. When he moved to America, he lived in Brooklyn, NY, then moved to Macon, GA after 9-11, then made his way to Atlanta.

It is in Atlanta that he met his ex-wife, Dana Tyler, who had a 3-month-old daughter, DaLana, whom is now 15 that he’s always considered his own child. He would later have his first daughter, Petronille, named after his beloved grandmother. “Nene” is 12 years old and a spitting image of her father. After his divorce he met Patricia West and had a daughter named Valora-Nicole. He adored his girls.

Although Loik did not finish college, he was a seeker of knowledge and prided himself in learning, or more accurately “knowing” something about everything. There wasn’t a conversation he entered where he didn’t know some type of obscure fact about it. He was a tremendous athlete despite his small stature and was known for his speed and strength. He was a passionate songwriter that shared his playful spirit in his naughty song lyrics where he shared his pain along with his hopes. He enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and teasing people.

Loik was rambunctious, naughty, intelligent, silly, talented, verbose, and passionate. He never met a stranger and loved HARD. Although he experienced a lot of challenges in his life, he was always a bundle of laughter. Loik was snatched away from us too soon, but we remember him full of love and playfulness. He is missed dearly.
