Miss Lola Allene Parker, a resident of Avondale Estates since 1946, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009. She was a secretary for the Civil Service during World War II. A beautician by trade, Miss Parker had 2 shops in the Atlanta area and worked at Sharian, Inc. in Decatur for 25 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Miss Parker was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sisters, Helen Nickison of Hialeah, FL, Florence Low of Clarkston, GA; and many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Mark Green officiating. Interment Parker Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
