Lollie Mae Puckett

February 27, 1921 — August 31, 2005

Mrs. Lollie Mae Roberts Puckett of Redan Road, Stone Mountain, Georgia died Wednesday, August 31, 2005.  She was born in Hall County to William Marion Roberts and Fannie Cleo Kimbro Roberts.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Fred Puckett; son, Otis Etzil Puckett; and four brothers and six sisters.  She completed her cosmetology course in November 1966 at Decatur University of Cosmetology.  She had a home shop, Redan Beauty Salon until her husband passed on in 1974.  She then worked at Tucker Nursing Beauty Salon as their beautician, until she retired in 1987 at 66 years of age.  Tucker Nursing Home presented her with a silver platter in appreciation of 10 years of dedicated service.  She is survived by her daughter, Vera Puckett Young and her husband, Horace Lamar Young; her grandsons, Horace Darell and Tammy Young of Monticello, Dennis Lamar and Sandra Young of Covington; granddaughter, Diana Young Morris of Grayson; great-grandsons, Jeremiah Shane Young and wife Erica, Joshua David Young, and Tyler Wade Morris; great-great grandchildren, Chase Parker Young and Caitlyn Michelle Young; step-grandchildren, Jennifer and James Lassiter; and their children, and Shannon Dutton.  She is also survived by one brother, Waymon B. Roberts "Smiles" of Atlanta, GA; and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3rd in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Rev. John Wages will officiate.  Interment will be at Harmony Baptist Church cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday and from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons (404-292-1551).
