Lonnie B. Fincher

June 4, 1919 — October 5, 2010

Mr. Lonnie B. Fincher, 91, of Norcross, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010. He served his country during WWII in the U. S. Army. He was a successful businessman, founder and owner of Fincher Gas Company in Gainesville and Winder, Georgia. Mr. Fincher was a long-time member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. His hobbies included traveling, cooking, story telling and he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Fincher, sister, Louise Stephens and brother, Lloyd Fincher. Mr. Fincher is survived by his wife, Margie Fincher; children, Russell Richardson of Loganville, Jerry and Jane Richardson of Lawrenceville, Mary Jane Clay of Sugar Hill, Thomas Richardson of Loganville, Patsy Jean and Jerry Mitchell of Covington, Shelia Jones of Lawrenceville, daughter-in-law, Ann Fincher of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Jeff Richardson, Tom Richardson, Julie Chandler, Candy Perry, Mary Ann Nicely, Cass Bryan, Tim Richardson, Rachel Cowherd, James Mitchell, Jason Mitchell and Kevin Blount; 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Mr. Fincher will lie in state beginning at 1:30 pm. Interment, Rehoboth Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2 -4 pm and 6 -8 pm Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
