Lorena Schell Vaughn

Lorena Schell Vaughn passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014, at the age of 91. She lived her life in a way that exhibited the most wonderful and best qualities of a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Lorena was a sweet, loving person and showed tremendous grace, dignity, charm and humor through all phases and transitions of her life. Lorena had that innate sense of wonder about life and always made you feel better just being with her. She was married to Joe Alton Vaughn, who preceded her to heaven in 1975. She was born in Eatonton, GA and was the oldest of ten children. She is survived by her three daughters, JoRena V Gunnell( Charles T Gunnell Jr.) Laura Jean Vaughn and Beverly Ann Vaughn. Grandchildren Rebecca L Fidanza (Jason Fidanza), Charles D Gunnell (Christa Gunnell)Greatchildren: Kaitlyn Fidanza, Gretchin Fidanza, Ben Fidanza and Amanda Gunnell Sister: Patricia Ann Bryant, Brothers: Leon Schell and Bo Schell and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 1, 2014 at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral home, 2773 North Decatur Rd, Decatur, Ga. The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery, Tucker GA.
