Loretta Rowe Brown

Loretta Rowe Brown, 87, of Stone Mountain, Georgia (originally from Luthersville, Georgia), passed away on June 29, 2015. Loretta was predeceased by her parents, Robert Perry Rowe and Nancy Strickland Rowe, and her brothers, Robert Lee Rowe, Theo Rowe, and Jimmy Franklin Rowe. Loretta is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Lewis Brown, her sons, Ronald Douglas Brown (Mary) and Dennis Robert Brown (Andrea), her brothers, Leonard Floyd Rowe (Mary) and Romeo Hubert Rowe (Donna), her sisters Julia Elizabeth Andrews (R. W.), Ruby Edith Rowe, Barbara Ann Rowe (Floyd), Nancy Sue Echols, and Shirley Patricia Huston (Ray), grandchildren, Douglas, Elizabeth, Brian, and Chelsea and great-grandchildren, Kaelei and Owen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Loretta retired from CDC. Visitation will be held at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home (2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur) on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at noon. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Rev. Hugh Roberts of Jackson Hills Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jackson Hills Baptist Church (1585 S. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30307).
