Lorraine Heidt

Lorraine L. Heidt of Decatur passed away Thursday, August 26, 2004 at Emory University Hospital following an extended illness.   She leaves her beloved long time companion Virgil ?Dan? Daniel with whom she also shared her investment wizardry, her love/hate relationship with the Atlanta Braves, and Katie, their Cocker Spaniel.  She was a loving other mother to the widowed Mr. Daniel?s children, Tommy Daniel and Patricia Jenks; their families, including Dan?s grandchildren, Tommy and Melissa Jenks of Lilburn, GA.  Mrs. Heidt also leaves her niece, Kerry Hart, who came to Decatur last year to care for her during what was to be her final illness; and her nephew, John Hart of Denver, Colorado.  Visitation will be this Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur.  Memorial services at a later date.
