Lorry was one of the first pilots to be trained for the Army Air Corps Pilot Instruction. After the war, he worked for Beach Aircraft., then left aviation to work for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh. In July 1950 he was transferred to the Atlanta office, where he worked until he retired in August 1981. He is survived by Beverly S.
