Lou Ella White

Mrs. Lou Ella White, 76, a long time resident of Decatur, died on Saturday, April 12, 2008, after a long illness.  Mrs. White was a graduate of Model High School Class of 1949 in Shannon. She married her husband Mr. John White, Sr. on July 2, 1949.  Mrs. White was an active member of Scott Boulevard Baptist Church.  In addition her husband of 59 years, surviving are her son and daughter-in-law.  Dr. Max White and Mrs. Jane Hoelzer White of Atlanta; grandchildren, Sarah Catherine White of Chicago, IL, John Charles White of Annapolis, MD; and sister, Annie Coker of Calhoun.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16th at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Greg Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
