Louise Bush Hester, age 88, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in Monroe, GA. She was born November 11, 1927 to Robert E. Champion and Margaret T. Major of Atlanta, GA. She retired from the Women's Shoe department at the Rich's located at Lenox Square after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of Peachtree Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and participated as a member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was active in the Women of Georgia Power Auxiliary and served as President 2 years. She was also a Charter member in the Georgia Power Ambassadors Club. Later, she was a member of Duluth First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Franklin Bush, Sr., her sons, George F. Frank Bush, Jr. and Gary D. Bush, all of Atlanta, GA. Survivors include her husband, Horace S. Hester, of Lawrenceville, GA, son, Donald W. Bush of Moreland, GA, Yvonne Bush of Newnan, GA, daughter, Winola B. Swinks and her husband, Alton, of Danielsville, GA, sisters, Joy M. Belyeu and her husband, Bill, of Smyrna, GA and Barbara M. Pumphrey and her husband, Lavon, of Hampton, GA, grandchildren, Stacie S. Konkle of Danielsville, GA, Brian R. Swinks and his wife, Staci, of Holly Springs, NC, J. Franklin Bush of Mobile, AL, Christopher R. Bush and his wife, Kristina, of Newnan, GA, J. Wesley Bush and his wife, Ellen, of Newnan, GA, B. Scott Bush and his wife, Morwen, of Mooresville, NC, great-grandchildren, Jack Konkle, Bettie Bush, McCall Bush, Matthew Konkle, Ethan Gividen, Rabun Swinks, Parks Bush, Archer Swinks, Zoe Bush, and Ellis Bush (due to be born in April, 2016) and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff and loving caregivers from Hollander Senior Living and Compassionate Hospice. The service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, GA, with Dr. Thomas F. Massey officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA. The pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brian Swinks, Frank Bush, Chris Bush, Wes Bush and Scott Bush, and her great-grandson, Jack Konkle. If you prefer, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, in lieu of flowers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home
