Louise Jordan Moore, 91, died Monday, January 30, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. She grew up in Gwinnett County and taught school in Lilburn, GA. She lived in Macon, GA as a young bride and mother. In 1939 she and her family moved to Decatur, GA where she lived for the rest of her life. During World War II she worked as a secretary for Bell Bomber in Marietta. She was a homemaker until her husband's death in 1961, when she joined Sears Roebuck and became a manager until her retirement in 1980. Mrs. Moore was the daughter of William Dallas Jordan and Bernice Lee Jordan of Lilburn, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howell Edwin Moore and siblings Douglas Jordan and his wife Lottie, Mae Brownlee and her husband Merriel, J.T. Jordan and his wife Evelyn, Bill Jordan, and Von Jordan, nephews Harry Moore and Greg Moss, and great-nephew Scott Jordan. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Carmen Moore Jackson and husband Kenneth of Monroe, LA and Ann Moore of Decatur, GA, sisters Mary Ellen Moore, Kathleen Moss, and Hilda Rhodes, brother Robert Jordan and wife Sarah, sister-in-law Irene Jordan and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Kim Wilson and husband Robert of Silver Spring, MD, Kathy Anderson and husband Russell of Roswell, GA, and Mike Jackson and wife Tracy of Monroe, LA, and great-grandchildren Betsy and Will Jackson, Jack and Sarah Wilson, and Amy Anderson. She also leaves behind many friends whose lives were touched by her great love of life. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4th. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA (404) 292-1551.
