Lucille Mullinax Anderson, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 21, 2016.
She was born on February 24, 1932, the daughter of Reverend Roscoe and Cora Moon of Suwanee, Georgia.
She was a long time resident of Scottdale, Georgia. She was a devoted Christian who faithfully witnessed about the goodness of our Lord whether it was standing up in church to testify or to a person she just met at the marta bus stop. One of her gifts was sewing, she made a career of being a seamstress. She also proved to be very tenacious, by taking lessons and learning to drive at age 65. She was a devoted wife even after divorce, when her second husband passed away, she took care of her ill-stricken first husband for seven years before his death in 1992. She was a tough survivor, fighting and beating cancer in her seventies. She selflessly helped her family and friends, but also donated monetarily and provided food and a place to live for others in need. She also enjoyed cooking, singing, reading the bible, thrift store shopping, and gardening. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Scottdale, GA.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by all eleven of her sisters and brothers: Corrine, Nadine, Emory, Jude, Benning, Marcus, Grace, Cecil, Faris, Sam and Ruth; Her first husband Minor Mullinax; Her second husband Robert Anderson.
Left in sorrow to mourn her passing is her only child, daughter Lydia Conant; Three grandchildren: Julia, Jessica and Jennifer; Nine great-grandchildren Nick, Ashley, Kathryn, Avery, Austin, Lee, Sam, Ethan and Brooke; A host of extended family, friends, and her dog Casanova. We loved her dearly and she will be in our hearts always.
