Mrs. Lucy Allen Dohn of Atlanta, GA passed away on March 5, 2011. Mrs. Dohn, a native Georgian was born in October of 1924 in the town of Hoschton. She was the daughter of the late Dr. & Mrs. L. C. Allen. She graduated from the University of Georgia where she met her husband of 57 years, Philip H. Dohn, Jr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Dohn. She taught Bible at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, was president of Alpha Chi Omega Alumni Society and a member of the Rabun Gap Club. She won the Atlanta regional bridge trophy in 1991 and reached the rank of Grand Master. Lucy loved music, animals, growing African violets and being with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis Dohn McMullen and Robert McMullen of Columbus, OH and daughter, L. Clair Dohn of Dunwoody, GA; grandson, Rob McMullen of Ohio; nephew, Myron Allen and his wife, Frances of SC; three great nephews, John A. Howard and his wife, Jane of Atlanta, J. Robert Howard of Atlanta. Philip K. Howard and his wife Alexandra of New York City and Myron B. Allen and his wife, Adele of WY; great nieces, Virginia King of MD and Mary Allen Piekarski and her husband, Edward of NJ; cousins, Dr. Curtis Reding of Decatur, Cleve Reding and his wife, Jane Reding of AL, Carrie Tucker and her husband, Richard of SC and Mary Susan Reding of Decatur and several great great nieces and nephews, great great great nieces and nephews as well as other cousins and relatives. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Friday, March 18, 2011 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church with Dr. Steve Huntley and Rev. Bob Dollar officiating. A private interment will be held on Friday the 18th. Those desiring may send contributions to the Atlanta Humane Society, 981 Howell Mill Rd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, March 17 at A. S. Turner & Sons.
