Lucy Hardy Johnson

Lucy Hardy Johnson passed away March 11, 2016. She was born in Bedford Virginia, the oldest child of Walter Glenn Hardy, M.D. and Ethel Davis Killenger. After graduation from Bedford High School, she graduated from Westhampton College(University of Richmond). She taught school in Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia before becoming a full time mother and homemaker in Atlanta. She was active in her church and enjoyed her flowers, particularly sunflowers and orchids, traveling and dancing. In 1962 she married her high school boy friend, Lewis Daniel Johnson, M.D. Together they had three children, Lisa Anne(deceased), Laura Anne, and Lewis Daniel Jr.(deceased). She is survived by her husband Dr. L. Dan Johnson, daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Blake Brown, and granddaughter Virginia Anne Brown, as well as her sister Jo Anne Thomason of Bedford, Virginia and step grandson Will Brown of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Walter Glenn Hardy Jr. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A Memorial Service in her memory will be held on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Christopher Henry at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA 30033.
