Lynn Skillern

Mrs. Lynn T. Skillern, 88, of Decatur, GA died Monday, December 17, 2007. She was born in Winston, AL and then moved to Lynton, IN and later to the Atlanta area. She was a member of the Decatur Presbyterian Church since 1951 and was the former chairperson of the DeKalb Real Estate Board. Mrs. Skillern was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Skillern, and son, Kenneth Alan Skillern. She is survived by her sons, Charles, Michael, Richard, and Warren Skillern; daughter, Linda Parker; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 11 a.m. Friday, December 21st, Rev. Helen Skillern and Rev. Nate Briley, officiating. Burial will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Decatur Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons
