Mr. Macy C. Miles of Atlanta died Monday, May 31, 2010. He was a native of Decatur, graduated from Decatur High School and attended the University of Georgia. Mr. Miles served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. After the war, he began a 35 year career with Texaco. He retired in 1983 and was a longtime active member of the Texaco Retirees. He began a second career with the IRS, where he performed many duties and retired after 10 years of service. His church membership included most recently Norcross Presbyterian Church. Mr. Miles was married to Pamela C. Fowler, now deceased, and Frances Miles. He is also survived by son, Fred Miles; daughter, Linda Miles LeCroy; grandchildren, Jay and Jessica LeCroy, Josh and Angie LeCroy; Jeremy and Heather LeCroy, Sean and Kara Miles, and Phillip Miles; and great grandchildren, Jacob LeCroy, Josie LeCroy, Julia LeCroy, Bailey LeCroy and Gavin Miles. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, TN at 11 a.m. (CST) Friday, June 4. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
