Madeline Treeter Craddock

CRADDOCK, MADELINE TREETER
(March 8, 1995 - January 16, 2015)
Miss Madeline Maddie Treeter Craddock, age 19, of Decatur, GA, died peacefully on January 16, 2015. Maddie attended St. Thomas More Catholic School, Druid Hills High School, and graduated from Lakeside High School in 2013. Maddie was a member of the varsity softball team and National Honor Society. She was a Girl Scout and grew up attending Camp Chattooga for Girls and worked there as a camp counselor, positively impacting the lives of many young girls. Maddie was creative; she was a talented artist and loved music. Her friends and family describe her as gentle, sweet, dynamic, beautiful, and funny. She loved animals, especially her dog, Gemma, and her cat, Beast.
Maddie is survived by her parents, Anne Palombi Craddock and Mark Alex Craddock, and sister, Alexandra Snow Craddock; grandparents Lawrence and Mary Palombi of Lake Mary, FL, and Norma Craddock of Arnoldsville, GA; aunts and uncles Michael Palombi of Lake Mary, FL; Laura Palombi Barker of Winter Park, FL; Gregory and Katy Palombi of Asheville, NC; Robert Craddock, Jr. of Eden, NC; Edward and Katherine Craddock of Commerce, GA; and Catherine Craddock Cassidy of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and cousins Andrew, Trey, Marcella, and Anna Barker of Winter Park, FL; Olivia and Layla Grace Palombi of Asheville, NC; and Cate and Emily Craddock of Lancaster, PA.
Maddie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Craddock, Sr., and cousin, Donald Barker.
A memorial mass is scheduled for 11:00 am on Wednesday, Jan. 21st at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur, GA. The family will receive guests from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 20th at A. S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, GA.
