Malcolm (Mack) LaFayette Smith II, 65, of Decatur, GA. passed away August 6, 2020 in Gainesville, GA.
Mack was employed as a Superintendent of Construction at Nicholson Contracting and he loved his job. Mack knew no strangers.
He is survived by his wife Lori (59), and three daughters: April Stockton (45) of Acworth, GA., Jennifer Jones (40) of Woodstock, GA., & Jessica Gates (37) (Nate) of Tucker, GA., two sisters, June Fennell (David) Powder Springs, GA., Susan Hackler, Powder Springs, GA. Mack, affectionately known as (Pa-Pa) to his Grandchildren: Nick Stockton (33), Alec Stockton (25), Kayla Cravens (24), Joseph (Bubba) Cravens (23), Jake Stockton (22), Trenton Burnett (16), Alyssa Jones (16) Jadyn Gates (12), Nathan Gates (10), Jax Jones (5); and his great-grandchildren, Kaiden LaFayette (6) & Madilyn Michelle (4). Mack loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren and had a special relationship with each one. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Julie (Joe) Friou and Alison Young. Each and every member of this family will miss him beyond belief.
The family will gather to receive friends at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 beginning at 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home Chapel with Dr. Frank Crumpler officiating. Burial will follow in Melwood Cemetery.
