Mamie S. Rowe

Mamie Rowe, 91, peacefully passed away on November 26, 2015. Born May 6, 1924, in the Metro Atlanta area, she was the daughter of the late Claude Bartley and Ida Frances Holcombe Snead. Mamie enjoyed meeting up with her friends to walk around North DeKalb Mall, traveling, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted member of North Clarendon Baptist Church.

Mamie is survived by her son, Walter Lee Rowe, Jr.; daughters, Donna Weatherby and her husband, Brian, and Denise Cabe and her husband Roger; grandchildren, Hannah Norton and her husband, Jared, Rachel Johnson and her husband, Nick, Sarah Cooke and her husband, Matt, Ben Cabe and his wife, Mallory, Stephen Cabe, Daniel Weatherby, and Rebecca Weatherby; eight great grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mamie was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Walter Lee Rowe, Sr.; and her eight siblings.

The family will receive friends from 3 - 5 PM Saturday, November 28, at A.S. Turner & Sons. A service will be held at 12:30 PM Sunday, November 29, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery.
