Margaree K. Gambill

Margaree K. Gambill, age 90 of Decatur, GA passed gently into the arms of our Lord on the 17th of Sept, 2012. Mrs. Gambill was born in Atlanta, GA. She worked in Tennessee as Assistant Dean of Students at George Peabody College, Assistant Dean of Women at Memphis State University, Dean of Women at TSU and was a member of the Student Personnel Division of Vanderbilt University. She also served as advisor to several other student organizations. Mrs. Gambill was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Gambill and is survived by sister, Jeanette K. Nelsen and her husband, Neal; sister, Betty J. Foster; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons on Thursday, September 20th at 11:30 AM with Jim and Rev. Diana Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening (Wednesday) from 6 –8 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory.
