Margaret Ann Rice, 89, of Tucker, Georgia, went home to her Savior on Monday, March 11, 2024. Ann was born on January 12, 1935 to Thomas Levy and Margaret (Maggie) Griffin in Chipley, Florida. She was one of 11 children.
Ann graduated from Decatur Girls High School in Decatur, Georgia and went to Business School in Jacksonville, Florida. She went to work at the family business, TL Griffin & Sons Paint Contracting, and continued to use her education in the finance field over the years.
She married George Ralph Rice on November 11, 1954. Their union was blessed by 2 children: Vicky and Steve.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Vicky Logan, son-in-law Mike Logan, daughter-in-law Sarah Rice, sister Dionne Hall, and many precious nieces and nephews and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, son Steve, mother Margaret (Maggie) Griffin, father Thomas Levy Griffin, and 9 siblings.
Ralph and Ann moved to Jacksonville, Florida and during the 10 years there, became members of First Baptist Church. Ann became a Christian there in 1978 and never looked back. Her faith did not waiver in her 46 years as a Christian. Immersed in the church and Sunday School, she took on many roles; teacher, group leader, Outreach Leader and mentor to many at Jacksonville First Baptist and in her current membership at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Ann also participated in various Bible Study Fellowships. She was a force indeed, tenacious in witnessing to people in any circumstance, bringing many to the Lord.
She loved family, friends, laughing, giving, sharing, family vacations, crossword puzzles, old westerns, dancing, and singing. Ann truly loved life!
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Comfort Teah, for the loving care over the last year. Mama truly loved her. Thank you, Comfort!
