Margaret Dorsey Dowd

Margaret Dorsey Dowd, 97 of Decatur, Georgia died Tuesday, March 15, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton L. Dowd, Sr. of Candor, North Carolina and Decatur, Georgia. She is survived by her son, Alton L. Dowd, Jr. and his wife Suzanne M. Dowd; three grandsons, Charles Lawrence Dowd and his wife Becky, Kenneth McGregor Dowd, Robert Dorsey Dowd and his wife Laetitia; granddaughter, Kathleen Dowd Busbee and her husband Brad of Mainz, Germany; four great grandchildren, Kenneth M. Dowd, Jr., Connor W. Dowd, Katherine Dowd and Kamilla Busbee; and sister, Katherine Partain of Roswell, Georgia. Mrs. Dowd was a member of Decatur Presbyterian Church, Circle #1 and the Me-Third Sunday school class. Visitation will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Thursday evening, March 17th from 6 to 8. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19th at Bensalem Presbyterian Church cemetery near Eagle Springs, North Carolina.
