Margaret Skelton Lyons

Margaret Skelton Lyons, 95, of Decatur, died November 17, 2011. A native of DeKalb County, Mrs. Lyons was a homemaker and a 63 year faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in South DeKalb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lyons and her children, Joan, Carl, Beverly and Douglas. Mrs. Lyons is survived by her daughters, Pat Horne and Emma Malone of Decatur and Tillie Rutledge of Winder; son, Jerry Lyons of Decatur; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Anita Lyons of Conyers; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held 11AM, Saturday, November 19, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Jimmy Glaze, Rev. Loyal Clay and Rev. Tim Royster officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Friday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
