Margarette Coon

Mrs. Margarette Coon, formerly of Stone Mountain, died Monday, May 16, 2005. Mrs. Coon was a native of Birmingham,  AL and graduated from Samford College where she sang in the acappella choir. She taught music for many years. She was the former Music Director at Lithonia Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible classes. She and her husband established the Ministry Center of Stone Mountain. She taught English to international students for many years and was a longtime reader of Bible stories to children at Peachtree Academy. Mrs. Coon was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J. C. & Ruth Ballard Meadows Reese, Sr. She will be remembered fondly by all she touched, including her husband, Joseph E. Coon of Buford; her three sons, Eddie Coon of Lithonia, Steve Coon of Loganville, Alan Coon of Buford; brother, Mr. Jim Reese of Ozark, AL; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18th, at 11 a.m. at Indian Creek Baptist Church, Rev. Bill Owens and Rev. Danny Newborn officiating. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. A. S.
