Margery W. Fitzsimmons

Margery Walker Fitzsimmons, 85, of King's Bridge Assisted Living, Atlanta, GA went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 26, 2007. She was born in Butler, GA, the daughter of the late Bernard and Linnie Sorrells Walker. She received her undergraduate degree from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA, her Master?s degree from Mercer University, Macon, GA and a Sixth Year Study from Emory University. She was a renowned teacher for twenty years and taught at Lanier Senior High for Boys in Macon, GA, and Butler High School in Butler, Georgia. She had lived in Atlanta for the past 33 years and was an active member of Northeast Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Warren (Lynn Mitchell) Patrick of Thomaston, Georgia; two grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Laura Patrick) Little and Mr. and Mrs. John (Katherine Greene) Patrick; and two great grandchildren, Lindsay and Patrick Little, all of Atlanta. Visitation will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 28th, prior to the funeral, to be held Northeast Baptist Church at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Butler, GA, at 4:30pm following the funeral.
