Maria del Pilar Comas Nolan, 84, of Suwanee, GA quietly passed from this life in her daughter's home on February 21, 2020, after a 12 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease that was complicated by a respiratory infection.

Mrs. Nolan was born in 1936 to her parents Arcadio Comas Muntal and Pilar Barros Pita in in Havana, Cuba. She immigrated to America in 1957, and became a U.S. citizen in 1965. She worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years, lastly as an underwriter. Mrs. Nolan lived a life full of love and devotion to God and her family. She was a devout Catholic and a long-time parishioner of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Atlanta, Georgia.

She leaves behind her daughters: Ileana R. Seoane of Suwanee, GA, along with her 3 children and 2 grandchildren, and fiancée, C. Lynn Ferguson of Alto, GA; Vivian Seoane Gammell and spouse, Phillip J. Gammell of Dawsonville, GA; Sister-in-Law: Celia N. Comas of Miami, Florida, surviving spouse of Antonio Arcadio Comas (only sibling); her cousins: Jorge Eduardo Iglesias and spouse, Gladys M. Montiel of Roswell, GA. She is also survived by her husband’s 5 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves family in Puerto Rico: Ingrid Fernandez and spouse Alberto C. Vazquez and daughter; Rosa Maria Fernandez and spouse, Luis S. Galarza; Jaime and Alex Fernandez; Merce' Soteras Poch and daughter (in Spain).

Mrs. Nolan was predeceased by her parents: Arcadio Comas Muntal of Barcelona, Spain, and Pilar Barros Pita; her brother: Antonio Arcadio Comas, and her first husband, Angel A. Seoane, all from Havana, Cuba; as well as her second husband: Gerald H. Nolan, Jr., of Wheeling, West Virginia.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Mrs. Nolan on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00PM in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur, GA. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM – 2:00PM prior to the service.
