Marie (Cote) Lawrence

Marie (Cote) Lawrence, age 91, of Decatur, GA died peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born in Cambridge, MA on February 3, 1921 to Paul and Florida Cote. She was a Navy Veteran, who served during World War II and remained an active member of the WAVES. Mrs. Lawrence was a long-time parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert Campbell Lawrence, Jr. and is survived by her children, Jeannine Marie Lawrence, Peachtree Corners; Robert C. "Robby" Lawrence III, Decatur; Sheryl Lawrence Born (Richard), Grayson; Mischell Lawrence Keller, Powder Springs; Kurt C. Lawrence (Laurie), Watkinsville; siblings, Armand Cote and Jeannette Rogers; grandchildren, Stacey Rhodes (Shane), Evan Born, Mathew Keller, Kimberly, Sara and Casey Lawrence; great-granddaughter, Sage Rhodes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 25 at 3 pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons. Interment, Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul, 2050-C Chamblee Tucker Road, Atlanta, GA 30342. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Saturday, and 2-3 pm Sunday at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, Decatur.
