Marika Klemis Huston (1954-2024) was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her daughter Natalie Brooke Broadway, her son-in-law Wes Broadway, and her grandchildren Skylar and Jackson Broadway; her sister Vickie Klemis and her brother Tom Klemis and his wife Lis; her niece Leighanne Taylor and her husband Tyler and their family and her nephew Jimmy Klemis and his wife Tiffany and their family.
Born to James and Lula Klemis, Marika lived most of her life in and around the Atlanta area. She graduated from Briarcliff High School and DeKalb Community College. She was raised in the Greek Orthodox Church, where she was baptized and later married. During her adulthood she lived in Lynchburg, Virginia, and Raleigh, North Carolina, working in banking as well as caring for her family. Later, she returned to the Atlanta area to be closer to her mother, daughter, and family, and she remained in the Atlanta area until her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marika had a joyous and beautiful youthful spirit that drew people to her. While her earthly embodiment is no longer with us, her spirit and memory will live on through those who knew and loved her.
