Marilyn Mcgowan Alikonis

Marilyn J. Alikonis, age 68, of Decatur, Georgia died Sunday, November 11, 2007. She was a former resident of Cincinnati, Ohio for over 40 years. Marilyn was born on February 7, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio to Ann P. and Francis R. McGowan. Loving mother to Anne P. Alikonis of Washington D. C. and Jill C. Alikonis of Atlanta, Georgia; dear sister of Patricia A. (Elmo) Miller of Youngstown, Ohio and Robert J. McGowan (Denise Stewart) of Canfield, Ohio, she is also survived by 6 nephews, 8 great-nephews and  5  great-nieces. She graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Youngstown, Ohio in 1959. After 43 years working as a nurse anesthetist in the Labor and Delivery Department at Good Samaritan Hospital and Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, she retired to Decatur, Georgia.
