The family of Marion Aye Reavis, age 93, of Lawrenceville, GA (12-24-1916 to 4-12-2010) announce with heartfelt sadness her passing away after a long illness. We will miss her, and love her always. Marion lived in Avondale Estates from 1955 until 2002. She was a floral designer at Mil-Mar Florist and Hall’s Flower Shop for many years. She was the widow of Robert W. Reavis, Sr., a World War II and Career Navy veteran. They were both charter members of the Decatur Church of Christ. Her great joys in life were her family and gardening. Since Christmas Eve was her birthday, a great family celebration was always held in her honor. Marion is survived by her son, Robert W. Reavis, Jr. and his wife Bonnie; her daughters, Judith Reavis, Marian Zanardo and her husband Scott; 5 grandchildren, Chuck Bowersock, David Bowersock, Ryan Reavis, Lauren Reavis Molnar, Elena Zanardo and their families; and 2 step-grandchildren. She also has 6 great grandchildren. In addition, Marion has a niece, Patricia Foster of Bristol, TN and two nephews of Mike and Chris King of Summerville, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the United Methodist Children’s Home, 500 Columbia Dr., Decatur, GA 30030. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 14 from 5 to 8 PM and services will be held Thursday, April 15th at 11 AM at A. S. Turner & Sons.
