Marion Elizabeth Fowler

Marion Elizabeth Fowler went to be with her Precious Lord on June 2, 2011. She is a graduate of Atlanta Girls High, Atlanta Conservatory in piano and a former extension teacher at Sherwood Music School in Chicago, IL. She taught many children and parents to enjoy music. She was a member of Decatur Heights Baptist Church having joined in 1968. She played piano in many churches. Her father taught a large men’s class for whom she played for over 25 years. As she stated “God gave me the talent and I wanted to serve Him. He gave me the talent and I am returning His love to me without accepting any salary.” She is survived by a very few cousins and quite a lot of friends. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at Decatur Heights Baptist Church. She will lie in state at 9:30 a.m. Dr. Alan Smith and Jim Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery by her Mom and Dad whom she loved so much. “See you in heaven.” Visitation will be Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
