LYNCH, Marion Hall

Marion Hall Lynch passed away on April 14, 2012. She was born in Montreal, Canada, on July 6, 1918. Marion was married to her late husband, C. Lawrence Lynch, for 53 years. They met and married during World War II. She volunteered with the Red Cross while he served overseas. In 1980, they made Atlanta their home, where she joined the Catholic Church and was a beloved member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary community. She was affectionately known as "Mummy" to her children Heather (Zach) Wilson, Judy (Tim) O'Shea, and Jennifer (Fred) Salzillo; as "Nanny" to her grandchiildren Emily Wilson (Dennis) Callahan, Zachary (Brittany) Wilson, Sarah Kate Wilson, Matt O'Shea, Lauren O'Shea (John) Ward, Andrew O'Shea, Alex Salzilo, and Anna Salzillo; and as "Great Nanny" to her 6 great-grandchildren. They will all miss her beautiful smile. Her family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers at Brighton Gardens of Buckhead. A memorial service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Dekalb County Humane Society, Decatur, GA, or Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Atlanta, GA. A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
