Mr. Marion W. Cornett, Sr. of Atlanta died Monday, January 03, 2011. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Harrington Cornett and his second wife, Joan Cornett. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Cornett; sons & daughters-in-law, Marion W. , Jr. & Jackie Cornett of Stone Mountain and Johnny & Alice Cornett of Decatur; daughter & son-in-law, Kay Cornett & Mike Love of Hapeville; grandchildren, Meredith Cornett, Margie Cornett Breyer & Lisa Earnest Khemani; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, January 6, 2011, at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Roger A. Davis and Dr. Robert Walker officiating. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to the Foundation of Wesley Woods, Inc., 1817 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30329. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
