Marion W. Merriman

Marion W. Merriman, 94, of Big Canoe, Georgia passed away at her home Monday morning, February 25, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, A. B. Merriman, and a sister, Evelyn Crowley. She is survived by two sons, Eugene Merriman (Joanne) and Lamar Merriman (Barbara), also of Big Canoe; a sister, Mrs. Doris Hammond of Olive Branch, MS; a brother, James K. Williams (Mildred) of Stockbridge; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Merriman was a member of Moreland Avenue Baptist Church in Atlanta for over 50 years. Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, March 3rd, at 1 p.m. in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Bill Crowley officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70 Caring Way, Jasper, GA 30143. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
