Marjorie G. Ligon, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend died June 18, 2007. She was born October 8,1914 in Birmingham, AL to Jessie and Harry Graves. She graduated from Phillips High School in Birmingham and then attended Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN where she met her husband, Joe Ligon. They married in 1935 and moved to Jamestown, TN living there until 1952 when they moved to Raleigh, NC. In Raleigh they were members of Hayes Barton Baptist Church. In 1967 they moved to Decatur and became active members of Decatur First Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Ligon, and brothers, Charles M. Graves and James B. Graves. She is survived by daughter, Harriet L. Clardy of Decatur and son, Peyton F. Ligon (Jan) of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and a niece and 2 nephews. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Decatur First Baptist Church, 308 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur 30030. A. S. Turner & Sons
