Mark Treadwell

Mark Treadwell, 41, died unexpectedly on January 8, 2012. Mark was born in Kansas City, MO, grew up in Overland Park, KS, and graduated from the University of Kansas with a professional degree in Architecture in 1994. There he met his wife of 15 years, Michelle Krahe, and together they moved to Atlanta to pursue their careers. In June of 2008, they adopted their beautiful daughter, Helen Tesfaye, from Ethiopia, and their lives were complete. Mark loved his family tremendously. His other loves included his work at Burns and McDonnell, KU basketball, music, driving, and his friends, especially those found on the soccer field. He is survived by wife Michelle, daughter Helen, parents Terry and Dianne Treadwell, sister and brother-in-law Anne and Charlie Henn, nieces, nephews, and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, at 2pm at A.S. Turner Funeral Home in Decatur, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's name to the Oakhurst Cooperative Preschool, the Epilepsy Foundation, Hope for Hossana, or to a fund established for Helen at SunTrust Bank.
